Benaras Trip - 13th Oct 2010

Had never imagined Benaras to be this beautiful. Sailed in perfectly silent Ganges with the voice of aarti in the background - nothing in this world could have been more calming.

Before Sunrise

My hard drive started working again and there was this instant feel to revise the movie. Simple conversations yet so soulfully romantic.

On Gandhi's Death Anniversary

Gandhi's Talisman

"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man [woman] whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him [her]. Will he [she] gain anything by it? Will it restore him [her] to a control over his [her] own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to swaraj [freedom] for the hungry and spiritually starving millions?
Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

- One of the last notes left behind by Gandhi in 1948, expressing his deepest social thought.

We had this in many CBSE books during our school times, we read it, forgot it. yes we were innocent then. Now we can again read it, think upon it, act if possible.

Tuesdays with Morrie

Read this amazing book over the last weekend. There are many thoughful things which surface between the lucid conversations of the narrator and the professor, but one thing which stands out is the "The filter of death".

Unnecessary things and activities in life will melt away when seen through this filter.

We were together after a long time.

The Buzz, Gurgaon

Hauz Khas Village, Delhi

The Market Cafe, Khan Market

Anshuman and Jain came down to Gurgaon, Pari was fortunately in India, Deepika dropped the idea of going to SN, Kalpak got time off from both cases - Ahmedabad and Bombay, Mansi shoved off marriage proposals, Amit wasn't feeling his usual sleepy self, Anshul surprisingly didn't have any dates planned, Ankur realized that Delhi was the place to be and WE got a great weekend.

PS: Mansi, Anshul and Ankur could not find a suitable group photo with you guys in there. But yes you people looked way better than the ones in the photographs.

PPS: These are my initial photoshop experiments. Act easy :)
